Introducing 2025 Art of the Cowgirl Logo Contest Winner Aspen Boxberger
We are thrilled to announce that Aspen Boxberger has been selected as the winner of the 2025 Art of the Cowgirl logo contest. Please join us in congratulating Aspen on this well-deserved recognition. Her design will be featured on a custom Fringe Scarves wild rag, and this limited-edition piece will be available for purchase through the Art of the Cowgirl Merchandise Booth during the event.
Aspen Boxberger (16) was born and raised on a family-owned ranch in Saratoga, Wyoming, where she works on a cow/calf yearling operation. Though she loves Wyoming summers, branding and working mountain cattle, the winters are cold, windy, and dry, so she’s excited about her new job here in Arizona, riding colts until May. She’s also attending school online, planning to graduate next December.
Aspen has always enjoyed art, but never having had a teacher to guide her, she is self-taught, through trial and error. She started with logo designs then began exploring ink, watercolor, acrylic, and colored pencils. Recently, she has been enjoying leatherwork, drawn to its functionality. Her art is inspired by all things western – horses, spade bits, and the ranch life around her.
For her logo contest submission, Aspen was inspired by the feminine style of the 2023 Logo Contest winner, Amanda Wentz. Aspen drew her design by hand in pen and ink, then used digital tools to outline it. Aspen plans to continue honing her craft over the next two years, at which point she will be eligible to apply for one of the Art of the Cowgirl fellowships. For the time being, she is enjoying selling stickers and prints of her artwork and exploring new avenues for her creativity.
