Consignor Bio
I grew up in the small town of McBride, BC, Canada, with a strong foundation in natural horsemanship. From an early age I was drawn to understanding how horses think and learn, and I’ve dedicated my life to starting colts, putting in ranch miles, and developing horses with patience and purpose. My approach has always been to put the horse first, letting their needs and progress guide the program.
What I enjoy most is bringing a horse from its very first ride to a confident, willing, and finished partner. I’m passionate about adapting to each individual horse rather than forcing them into a single mold, and I value the lessons each horse teaches me along the way.
Through working for respected performance horse trainers and riding alongside a variety of horsemen, I’ve taken away pieces that spoke to me and built a program that honors the horse and develops their individual talents. Mentoring under the traditional bridle horseman, Miles Kingdon, also gave me a deep appreciation for patience, progression, and the old ways of making a finished bridle horse.
In addition to training, I’m a certified farrier and continue to shoe for select clients, which has strengthened my understanding of soundness and longevity in a horse’s career. I’m currently based in Stephenville, Texas, continuing to expand my knowledge and experience in the cow horse industry. My goals are to show in the reined cow horse, build bridle horses, and develop horses that are both competitive in the arena and reliable partners outside of it.
