Join us in Pawhuska, Oklahoma this Fall! The Oklahoma Gathering will consist of hands-on workshops and riding clinics. Proceeds from this event will go towards the Fellowship Program. Registration is required to participate in a clinic or workshop as this is not a ticketed event for spectators. Auditing is available for the riding and cowdog workshops for $30/day.

About Art of the Cowgirl
In order to encourage and assist emerging artists of the western genre, Art of the Cowgirl provides a showcase through an annual gathering that celebrates cowgirls and their artistic contributions to the western lifestyle. In so doing, it raises the necessary funds to support emerging artists in expanding their knowledge and skills via fellowships with master artists in their field.
The Event
We will feature female makers, including master artists, silversmiths, braiders, saddlemakers, and horsewomen. The event will not only provide entertainment and honor women of the west, but also provide fellowships to individuals to further their knowledge with master artists in the trade of choice. The contributions of these cowgirl makers are truly worth celebrating and we look forward to sharing them with you.
Art of the Cowgirl is a gathering to celebrate cowgirls and their contributions to western lifestyle and culture, to raise funds to support up and coming artists to expand their knowledge and skills via fellowships with master artists in their field. Event includes a trade show, music, all women’s ranch rodeo, elite ranch horse sale, world’s greatest horsewoman, art auction, horse clinician demonstrations, colt starting, stock dog demonstration, trick riding, artist demonstrations, and much more!
Second Annual Betty Kunesh Award
Presented by Art of the Cowgirl
In honor of Grandma Betty, we have created the Betty Kunesh Legacy Award. This award is to be given to a woman who embodies the cowgirl spirit. Our hope is to honor those special women who are not always in the lime light: the women who work hard their whole lives leading by example, embracing fellowship and community, and honoring the western lifestyle.
We would like to congratulate the 2023 Recipient of this award, Judy Elam.
