Caitie Holtzman

Caitie Holtzman

Caitie is originally from Georgia and grew up with a love of horses, particularly cow horses, that was enabled by her Grandfather and her Mother. In 2006 just after high school graduation, with intentions of being in the horse industry, Caitie moved to Texas. In 2008, Caitie began college at North Central Texas College and found her way into their Equine Science program; in 2013 she transferred to Texas A&M University in Commerce and received her Bachelors Degree in Broadfield Agriculture and in 2015 completed her Master of Science in Agriculture Education.

Caitie Holtzman owns and operates Versatile Horsemanship, LLC based in Gainesville, Texas along with her husband Elliot. Caitie has competed in stock horse and ranch horse versatility events, Extreme Mustang Makeovers, Freestyle Reining with a top 10 finish at Quarter Horse Congress, as well as in the Liberty horse discipline. She has her sights set on more Reining and Reined Cow Horse competitions in 2022, and has a goal of competing in her first Futurity by 2024.

In 2020, Caitie started the Southwest Liberty Horse Club as a local chapter of the International Liberty Horse Association, and accepted the position as the Club Coordinator for the ILHA. The Liberty horse discipline has quickly become a staple in the foundation of Caitie’s program, changing the way she and Elliot halter break and start young horses and meshing well with the performance horse training that she is working towards mastering.
