Silversmith Class with Jill Skinner and Matt Litz

$1,250.00

Build a solid sterling silver belt buckle with overlay and turquoise stones embellishing on the buckle. The class will cover basic soldering, sawing and fabrication techniques and touch base on lots of industry aspects. We will give student choice of the two buckle style options a few weeks prior to class.

This class is taught by two Instructors with extensive backgrounds in jewelry fabrication.

Jill Skinner began silversmithing after the birth of her first child as a way to stay busy while on leave from work in the veterinary field. She picked it up fast along with the urge to keep progressing. Over the years she has become well versed in fabrication and stonework. Her style has touches of traditional western heritage with modern embellishments. Keeping western heritage alive through her artwork is something she strives to do. Jill added engraving to her work just over two years ago,and is excited to see where it takes her. Gear has become a passion and her first set of hand fabricated spurs have ignited a new pursuit.
