“The Art of Silver”- Silversmith Workshop with Amy Raymond and Jill Latno-Yamate
January 19th and 20th, 2022
Location: Communiversity at Queencreek
21740 S Ellsworth Rd, Queen Creek, AZ 85142
This class will be set up for all levels of students including but not limited to beginners that want to learn new techniques.
The goal of this class is to set up our students with the skills to go home and build detailed pieces comfortably with the fabrication skills acquired in this class. Each student will learn fabrication and overlay techniques to utilize in their daily work, and will take home a curved bar necklace in sterling and a toothpick made in the class over the course of two days. Jill and I both love what we do and sharing makes it better. We are really excited to meet everyone and help them. We plan on having fun the whole time too.
We will go over soldering, sawing, forming, turquoise, setting turquoise stones, overlays, fabrication skills, talking about tools needed, using a press with a pancake die and what you need to get your own studio started.
All materials and tools provided. Please bring a pad and pencil to take some notes.
**Workshop cost includes a five day pass to main Art of the Cowgirl event**
