Christina Savitsky has been horse “crazy” all her life, buying her first horse at age 13 with a loan from Grandpa. Her passion and challenges fueled a college degree and certification as a Therapeutic Riding Instructor and her work at many barns and riding programs with special needs riders allowed her to make horses a career.

Meeting her husband, Ethan, took Christina to the high mountains and remote areas where he was managing Bar X Bar ranch. “The style of riding that won me blue ribbons as a girl didn’t help me ride comfortably all day up and down the mountains fixing fence and finding cattle. That’s when my riding and instructing really shifted!”

Christina applies years of ranching and mountain riding to her knowledge of body movement and alignment. She offers positive feedback and awareness exercises for a more comfortable ride. She is the only certified Center Riding Instructor in New Mexico. Now based in Corrales, the horse capital of New Mexico, Christina, Ethan and their daughter Mesa are helping people and their horses full-time.
